On this 5-day Tanzania safari, you will visit Tarangire, Serengeti, and the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater. Experience highlights of Tanzania’s northern circuit. It is an excellent trip for first-time visitors!
Venture upon an odyssey where the legendary Pentad of fauna and the enigmatic Baobab sentinels accompany you. Nestled within the embrace of quaint lodgings and the journey aboard a quadruped-driven Land Cruiser, this quintet-day expedition through Tanzania unfurls an archetypical wilderness voyage.
You are to traverse the revered natural sanctuaries of East Africa: Tarangire, Serengeti, and the Ngorongoro Crater, where the tapestry of fauna and terra is astonishingly magnificent. Venturing in an intimate cohort, limited to a septet of voyagers, ensures an exclusive and richly priced odyssey. A sage of the wilderness will be your harbinger, unveiling the mysteries of the animal kingdom, the vegetation, and the mosaic of cultures and residents of Tanzania.
Distance approx. 150 km; driving time approx. 2-3 hours Following a brief orientation at dawn, your journey leads to the expanses of Tarangire National Park. This sanctuary, famed for its boundless arboreal grasslands dotted with majestic baobab sentinels and ephemeral wetlands, hosts the mightiest elephant congregations in Northern Tanzania. Beyond these gentle giants, your eyes may also feast upon the grace of giraffes, the might of buffaloes, the majesty of lions, the agility of zebras, the resilience of wildebeests, along with a diverse array of antelopes and gazelles. Upon entering this natural realm, your guide will transform your vehicle into a viewing platform by opening its roof and commencing an unparalleled wildlife observation odyssey. A midday repast awaits at a selected idyllic locale, after which the afternoon promises further explorations of this astonishingly picturesque reserve. As dusk approaches, your retreat to the Lake Burunge Tented Lodge, located just beyond the park's boundary, marks the end of the day's adventure, heralding a night of rest amidst the wilderness.
Distance approx. 280 km; driving time approx. 5-7 hours After a morning repast, your voyage commences towards the Rift Valley. Weaving through the verdant locales of Mto wa Mbu and Karatu, nestled within the temperate embrace of the crater highlands, your path leads into the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Pausing briefly at a vantage point for a fleeting gaze into the crater's depths, you continue your journey. Circling the crater's rim, you'll then embark downwards to its far side, where the journey's ruggedness bestows upon you an "African massage" courtesy of the uneven terrain, all while meandering past Maasai settlements en route to the Serengeti National Park. At the threshold of Naabi Hill, a promenade to an overlook unfurls panoramic vistas of the Serengeti savannah's expansive plains. Progressing towards the Seronera locale in the park's nucleus, you're ushered into a realm teeming with fauna, home to the celebrated Big Five – lions, elephants, buffaloes, rhinos, and leopards. Your arrival at Kati Kati Tented Camp as the day wanes promises an evening ensconced in solitude amidst the wilderness, under a canopy of stars illuminating the nocturnal spectacle. Meals will be savored amidst the day's transitions.
After your morning meal, the entirety of your day will be dedicated to an extensive safari within the bounds of Serengeti National Park, pausing only for a luncheon amidst the wilderness. The period of your visit may serendipitously coincide with the epic procession of the great migration, an awe-inspiring spectacle featuring legions of wildebeests, zebras, and Thompson gazelles. During the brief rains of October and November, these multitudes traditionally traverse from Kenya's Masai Mara into the Serengeti's northwest, dispersing across the southern plains. Conversely, the return journey commences post the predominant rainy season of April to June, as the herds meander back through the Serengeti's western and northwestern expanses. This migratory pattern, however, is subject to the whims of precipitation, potentially altering their itinerary and timing. Your guide, a connoisseur of the wild, will endeavor to locate these creatures, positioning you optimally for this natural theatre. The spectacle of migration invariably draws the circle of predators, heightening the chance of witnessing nature's raw drama unfold. The day concludes with another night's stay at the Kati Kati Tented Camp. Note: Travellers venturing between early January and mid-March will be accommodated at the Ndutu Kati Kati Tented Camp, strategically placed closer to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area boundary within the Ndutu region of the Serengeti. This location enhances your prospects of witnessing the renowned migration, as the herds may roam between the Serengeti and Ngorongoro territories.
Distance approx. 170 km; driving time approx. 3-5 hours With the first light of dawn as your backdrop, your journey commences post-breakfast. Bidding farewell to the Serengeti's enchanting Seronera Valley, you journey towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The excellent dawn hours offer a prime time to witness predators in their element, adding a thrill to your retreat. A mid-journey repast awaits at a specially chosen picnic locale. Upon arrival at the crater's brink, you are greeted by the breathtaking vista of the 19-kilometer-wide caldera. Your descent into this magnificent natural arena is nothing short of an adventure. This UNESCO World Heritage Site temporarily hosts an astonishing array of over 25,000 creatures, ranging from many birds and hyenas to the celebrated Big Five. Your exit from the crater, via an alternate route, leads you towards Karatu in the lofty Ngorongoro highlands. Here, your evening will culminate in a stay at one of the exquisitely situated Tanganyika Wilderness Adventure Lodges, nestled amidst serene highland beauty.
Distance approx. 160 km; driving time approx. 2-3 hours Following a leisurely morning meal, your journey leads you back to Arusha, with an expected arrival near midday. Flights are available from the local Arusha Airport and the Kilimanjaro International Airport for adventurers keen on extending their expedition to include a vacation in Zanzibar. A mid-journey repast will be enjoyed along the way.

With a massive and outstanding knowledge about the animals and wildness he drove me through the parks. Especially in the Serengeti he managed the impossible: He found baby cheetahs! I saw the big five (okay, rhinos a bit far away), but about thirty to forty lions, a bunch of leopards and cheetahs and of course a lot of more common animals. With all he was very flexible and able to take my wishes into the plans. I can highly recommend the tour with Tangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater. Also a walking safari was included and very informative and nice. If you are looking for a driver and unsure where your money is well invested: here. I can highly recommend him.Ay J2023-05-12Best driver and Guide ever King Solomon is the king of the Safari for sure but also the best driver ! You feel confortable being almost all day in the car. He is very good to spot the animals and he will do his best to not miss any. Everything was well organized, the food is great. In our last day in Arusha our flight was delayed and he took care of us showing us around before dropping us at the airport. חן ז2023-02-14Best safari tour guy in Tanzania Hey, I’m Hen from Israel and I was looking a lot for a tour guy that will be good and that I can trust him. Solomon is the best driver we could have found and the best tour guy in Tanzania! He knows everything about everywhere and every animal, he will do anything to find you all the best location and rare animals, he can find animals hiding in the bushes with his bare eyes where I barely could’ve found them with the binuclear And the most important he knows every route and never get lost (which some other tour guys are getting lost sometimes). We had the best experience with him and I’m highly recommending about him, you will have the best safari experience that can be! Go King Solomon!iamkeith182023-02-04Such good company. Felt like we had the most knowledgeable guide We spent 6 days with King Solomon, who was friendly and good company. It’s clear that he is well connected with the parks and other guides which meant that he often knew what had been seen recently and where. His knowledge of the parks is fantastic and he has a super-human eye for spotting things you otherwise would miss. We had a great time and found King Solomon to be really funny and knowledgable. Would definitely highly recommend.Foued BH2023-01-14Unique experience with an unique guide Our safari was amazing with king Solomon as a guide. he is very professional, he can find all the animals in the savannah. we loved his company!! thank you King we are a fan of you and the experience you made us liveJazlyn H2023-01-02Amazing 5 stars Solomon was excellent at spotting animals that weren't visible to the naked eye. He found a black and white colobus money high us in the trees and a Jaguar. Solomon is a great guide with lots of stories to tell. He is extremely knowledgeable and has had over a decade years of experience. I highly recommend booking through Solomon as his attention to detail will ensure your trip is a cut above the rest. Meals were provided on the trip in hampers every day for the 3 days that we went which was excellent. There were also facilities around the park to occasionally stop for a toilet break. Overall I will be coming back to Tanzania and booking through Solomon again. He also offers hot air balloon rides over the Serengeti which I am keen to do next time.Hanen2023-01-01It was A wonderful experience The best safari guide ever I recommend 100% It was a wonderful experience Thanks to king solomone, the safari was top top topTomasz M2022-03-20Amazing safari! Solomon is a great, professional safari guide who knows exactly when and where to go to give you the best possible safari experience. Moreover he's a very good driver, with whom you feel safe, and a super friendly person. We had great time and we saw a lot of animals thanks to Solomon's "eagle eye" and big experience. The whole safari was very well organized, we didn't need to worry about anything from the moment when Solomon picked us up at the airport in Kilimanjaro to the moment when he left us at the Seronera Airstrip 5 days later. I enjoyed every minute of it. The hotels, which he chose for us, were amazing (one in a coffee plantation and the other one in the middle of Serengeti - wow!). The food that he provided us with was very good and more than we could eat. Overall the whole experience was awesome and worth every penny!
King Solomon Safaris offers a variety of experiences, including wildlife safaris, mountain trekking, beach holidays, walking safaris, biking adventures, and town tours, to truly experience the culture and history of Tanzania.
